Btw, even my family is not into karwa chauth, but my sister recently got married into a punjabi family.n thus, my parents yesterday took 'sargi' to her new abode :) new thing for me. And, hey nice observation.
(P.S. - really like ur 'fashion vs belief and religion vs romance' line...)Ananya's Quillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08713226471143204149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2065429737097428692.post-26569263807400765042009-10-07T00:59:56.436-07:002009-10-07T00:59:56.436-07:00Hi well said.. I will probably become very emotional if someone will show so much care and respect for me.

Coming to the essence of our culture, dude we are on a secret mission of capturing the world and our culture is the back bone to it.. Britishers ruled over us for more than 200 years, not only us but they captured almost the entire world .. they used to say "sun never sets in British empire".. and they were able to do this because they had organized manpower & better technology and other parts of the world were not internally unified at that time...
In todays world we Indians are going in the same direction. we have the largest number of NRIs in other countries placed at a very good positions in MNCs and many are even Entrepreneurs.. Even in our country workforce is very large, and is getting more skillful day by day .. so now if we compare us with Britishers at that time, we already have resource of good manpower and now our culture is playing a very crucial role in unifying us.. you see kind of making us an army which is spreading over the entire globe but is linked with each other by the strong bonds of its culture.
And these festivals only act as keeping the cultural roots alive.. Karvachauth was celebrated in U.S, U.K, Australia, South Africa, Canada... with full enthusiasm and thats really a good news.
I am sure one day there won't be a sunset in Indian empire:)))Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13331494346675773871noreply@blogger.com
